Abstract
The paper presents the results of experimental studies on the stability of increase of pulsed radio-frequency (RF) fields in the multigap resonator of the ion linear accelerator being excited in different autogenerator modes. It is shown that at low strengthes of the RF fields, excited in the accelerating structure of the H-type resonator, the secondary-electron resonance discharge (multipactoring) is the main mechanism of disturbing of accelerating field excitation in the autogenerator mode. This type of vacuum RF discharge can develop both between drift tube of accelerating structure and on its different elements, when the determine relations are established between the on electrode voltage, the distance between electrodes, frequency of RF fields and the secondary electron emission coefficient of electrode material. For single-resonator accelerator with a many accelerating gaps, which have different length and electrode area, the initial conditions of the multipactoring can be realized in a wide range of RF fields strengthes. For relatively long time of field amplitude increase, which are defined by the high resonator Q-factor, the secondary electron emission may transform in discharge with a high current. In this case the equivalent parameters of the resonator, namely, operation frequency, field distribution along acceleration structure, shunt impedance are changing considerably. That results in disturbing autogenerator work of system power suply. The scheme decisions have been found, and a mechanism discribed the which provides a stable work of the autogenerator system of RF power supply for calculated mode of ion accelerating. |

Abstract
CrN films formed on substrates by ion beam assisted deposition were studied. Film thickness and nitrogen content in standard samples were measured by Rutherford backscattering of He ions. Nitrogen depth distribution in films and contiguous layers of substrates were determined by 15N(p,ag)12C resonant nuclear reaction. It has been shown that such control can be effective not only for substrates of high atomic number (Ta) but for Al substrates caused high level g-ray background of Compton scattering of hard gamma-rays from 27Al(p,g)28Si reaction. |
